Who's in YOUR network?
When stepping onto campus for the first time, you might feel a little overwhelmed. Suddenly, you're exposed to lots of services, departments and co-curricular opportunities. Packets of information, posters for upcoming events and dozens of emails will provide a great deal of information about how to get connected at NKU, but still, you may be a bit unsure about where to start.
That's okay, it's a lot to take in.
Lucky for you, people here want to work with you to build your NKU network...
When a staff or faculty member extends a hand to offer academic support--respond!
When a student organization invites you to an open house to learn about getting involved--respond!
When you feel behind in a class and you notice a flyer for tutoring services--respond!
When your UNV101 instructor tells you about a theater production--respond!
When you respond to outreach from faculty, staff and other students, you are taking the first steps in the networking process. Networking is not only a helpful tool in college, but an invaluable asset when you begin your career. The more initiative you take and the more opportunities you embrace, the more successful you will be in your journey towards graduation...and beyond!
